Top 25 worst passwords of 2014 revealed

Is your password on this list? If it is, then it’s time to change it.

“SplashData, a password management applications provide, has announced its annual list of the 25 most common passwords found on the Internet,” reports PRWeb.

The report noted: “In its fourth annual report, compiled from more than 3.3 million leaked passwords in 2014, ‘123456’ and ‘password’ continue to hold the top two spots that they have held each year since the first list in 2011.”

The report also added that passwords appearing for the first time on SplashData’s list include ‘696969’ and ‘batman.'”

The following are the Top 25 Worst Passwords of 2014:

4) 12345678
5) qwerty
6) 1234567890
7) 1234
8) baseball
9) dragon
10) football
11) 1234567
12) monkey
13) letmein
14) abc123
15) 111111

In any case, the report revealed that “according to SplashData, the passwords evaluated for the 2014 list were mostly held by users in North America and Western Europe.”
