A thunderstorm triggered flooding in several low-lying parts of Quezon City, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
MMDA said flood waters hit Aurora tunnel and portions of Commonwealth Avenue leading to Mindanao Avenue and Doña Carmen.
Flooding was also reported on North Avenue and Visayas Avenue.
State weather bureau PAGASA issued an advisory at 3 p.m., saying thunderstorms were expected to last for about two hours in the following areas:
—Metro Manila
—Cavite (Maragondon, Magallanes, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Alfonso)
—Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Cainta)
—Laguna (Bay, Los Banos, Alaminos)
—Batangas (Sto. Tomas)
—Pampanga (Floridablanca, Porac, Candaba, Arayat)
—Tarlac (Capas, San Jose, Odonel, Sta Lucia)
—Bataan (Morong, Hermosa) portions of Bulacan and Zambales
