This adorable artwork reminds us why we need to vote wisely next year

In case you’re looking for yet another social media post to forward to friends and relatives on why their vote matters next year, here’s a series of illustrations by Robert Alejandro, Papemelroti co-founder and Art Is Kool host.

The former TV host and artist released these illustrations entitled, “Bakit Natin Kailangan Bumoto Nang Tama?” and posted them on his Facebook page.

Each drawing showcases the differences between corrupt and non-corrupt governments — from basic services to foreign investments — in a format that is simple and easy to understand.

Alejandro said that he began doing the illustrations on his own two years ago, way before the upcoming May 2022 polls, yet was motivated about the country’s future come election time.

With his illustrations, Alejandro says, “I am hoping to reach people who haven’t decided yet on who to vote. There are those that are so incredibly sure of their candidate- I don’t hope to change their minds.”
