It doesn’t take a lot of brains to know that there’s no money in the bank until the end of the day. And yet.
Three robbers shot dead a guard at a money transfer shop in Sucat, Parañaque City, on Sunday morning and took the outlet’s cash box — which turned out to be empty, reports Perseus Echeminada in The Philippine Star.
Investigators say at least three men shot the security guard at a Western Union branch along Dr A Santos Avenue. The suspects rode motorcycles and headed towards Sucat interchange.
Police couldn’t say whether it occurred on the suspects that the cash box seemed to weigh too light to contain, say, a million pesos. What was clear to the investigators was the box had yet to be filled with remittance money because the shop had just opened for business.
