Paul Lee lost his front tooth and got two others stuck in after getting hit TNT’s import Ivan Johnson in the third quarter of game 3. No cause for concern though has the Rain or Shine wins the game, 109-97. They now take the crucial lead in the PBA finals series 2-1.
According to ABS-CBN Sports, “Lee was forced out of the game from the middle of the third quarter to the middle of the last period.” But he checked back in in the fourth quarter and was still able to assist import Gabe Norwood in his dunk, giving the team a 107-90 lead.
“Sinabi ko babalik talaga ako. Kailangan ko ipakita sa teammates ko na gusto kong manalo,” Lee was quoted as saying on Spin.ph.
He only went to the hospital after finishing the game with 17 points and five assists.
“Lalaro pa rin ako kahit anong mangyari. Kahit anong mangyari sa akin, babalik ako; masaktan ako, babalik ako. Gusto ko matapos ‘yung championship series talaga,” Spin.ph quotes the Rain or Shine guard.
Game 4 will be on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum on Cubao.
