Tennis player Andy Murray calls Metro Manila traffic ‘naughty’

Tennis player Andy Murray is in town for the 2014 Coca Cola-International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) tennis, which will kick of at at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Fri, Nov 28. It will run until Dec 13.

Murray was was en route to EDSA Shangri-la on Thu evening, Nov 27, when he weighed in on the traffic situation. He tweeted: “The traffic in Manila is naughty.”

The welcoming ceremony for the IPTL was held at the said hotel. Apparently, Murray ran into Manny Pacquiao there and, of course, he had his picture taken with him.

In tonight’s opening matches, Murray will go up against Marin Cilic in the men’s singles.

“Murray will be playing alongside tennis stars such as Maria Sharapova, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, and Filipino-American Treat Huey. Their group, Manila Mavericks, will host the other three teams at the Mall of Asia until Sunday, November 30,” reports Ira Pedrasa on ABS-CBNnews.com.
