A 17-year-old student of Manuel I. Santos Memorial National High School in Taytay, Rizal has died after he was allegedly bullied and beaten to death by his classmates.
John Mark “Moy-Moy” A. Lucero came home from school on March 25 with bruises on his body, and a swollen mouth dripping with blood. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but he fell into a comatose. He died on April 7, GMA News reports.
According to Lucero’s mother Arlene, her son was beaten up for no clear reason. She added that her son identified the four students involved in the incident before he passed away.
Officials of the school have not taken action because there was supposedly no formal report about the incident yet. Lucero appealed to her son’s classmates to speak up about what really happened.
Police authorities say they will be coordinating with the school for further investigations.
