Was it the heat that made them so…hotheaded?
“On Tuesday night, April 29, Marilou Bautista, 35, and her daughter were riding a jeepney along Macopa Street in Barangay Potrero, Malabon when she politely asked sisters Raycel, 19, and Cherry Ann de la Cruz, 17, to move over so that she and her child could sit properly,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
The sisters responded by cursing Bautista and allegedly telling her that the baby in her womb will die. According to Bautista, she chose to ignore them because of her condition.
However, when the jeepney reached the Maysilo area, the suspects pulled Bautista’s hair and kicked her tummy. The other passengers in the jeepney had to intervene.
When the sisters were brought to the barangay hall, they claimed they did not know that Bautista is pregnant. The report didn’t say how far along Bautista is.
Raycel will be charged with physical injuries, while Cherry Ann has been turned over to the social welfare office.
