The things that happen in the city are getting scarier and scarier.
“Miguel Garcia, 17-year-old boy who was about to attend a court hearing with his mother in Caloocan City was shot dead in Quezon City Tuesday, June 24,” reports Francis T. Wakefield in Manila Bulletin.
The shooting incident happened at around 9:15 am, as the victim and his mother Estrellita, together with a friend identified as Elvie Magcalas, were on board a passenger jeepney traversing Quirino Highway on their way to Caloocan City. Suddenly, the jeepney’s passengers heard gunfire.
Then, they saw the victim slumped and bloodied inside the jeepney. The boy was taken to Bernandino Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
The report said that “traffic officers recovered a cartridge case for a caliber .45 gun near the crime scene.”
The investigation is ongoing.
