Teen shot dead by alleged member of rival gang in QC

The names of the gangs were not mentioned in the report.
 
“Dexter Barrion, 17, was shot dead allegedly by a member of a rival gang along Republic Avenue near Basilio Compound in Fairview Quezon City, on Monday morning, February 23,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

According to the police report, Barrion bore a gunshot wound on the forehead. He was believed to be shot at close range.
 
Witnesses said that at “around 7 :30 a.m., an unidentified gunman was running after Barrion.” The report further noted that “Barrion had a pen gun laced around his neck when found by bystanders in the area.”
 
The investigation is ongoing.
