At around 6am on Tue, Jan 6, a taxi driver named Apolonio Bondano fell asleep behind the wheel as he was going through EDSA’s southbound lane, near the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) North Avenue Station.
Bondano’s dangerous error caused him to crash into at least three other cabs.
Johnson Manabat repored on dzMM that Bondano himself admitted that he had fallen asleep while driving.
Needless to say, the crash caused traffic build-up in the area.
The initial report didn’t say if Bondano will be charged for nodding off. It also didn’t mention the name of Bondano’s taxi company.
