Tarlac woman shot dead in jeepney, her 2 young sons witness the killing

Police are still investigating this case.

On Tue morning, Jul 12, Filipina Bautista, 27, was shot twice in the chest as she rode a passenger jeepney in Capas, Tarlac. Her two sons, aged 5 and 3 years old, saw her die on the spot.

“Robert dela Pena, the driver of the jeepney plying the Tarlac City-Bamban route, said he had stopped in front of the replica of the Capas Shrine to let a passenger off when he heard two gunshots and saw Bautista bloodied,” reports Dax Simbol on InterAkson.com.

Witnesses saod that a motorcycle with two men on board had stopped just behind the jeepney. One of the men got off the motorcycle and then shot Bautista.

It is not clear why Bautista was targeted.
