We’ve told you about that 74-year-old jeepney driver who gave his passengers free rides for Christmas, now here’s another man who made people happy with comps this holiday season.

Facebook user Anita Lescano Beato shared a now-viral post on Sunday about a taho vendor who braved the rain just to deliver free taho to his loyal customers in Cavite.

Taho is a Filipino snack made of soft tofu, arnibal syrup (caramelized brown sugar syrup), and sago (tapioca pearls).

There are many taho vendors who roam the streets but this one is something else.

Beato said in her post that at first, she thought the taho vendor was just doing his usual rounds in their neighborhood but she soon found out that he was actually there to give early Christmas gifts to those who consistently buy taho from him.

In the photos, the taho vendor can be seen wearing a cap and a yellow poncho while holding a pink umbrella amid the heavy rain. He was also carrying the two aluminum buckets that contain the ingredients to make taho.

In the other photos, Beato shares her own glasses of free taho from the vendor.

“He really went through all that trouble, even if it was raining, just to give people their Christmas taho,” Beato said in the post.

She added the hashtag #SIMPLENGTAOPEROMAYPUSO which translates to “Simple person with a heart.”

The Facebook post had over 75,000 likes and 56,000 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens loved it.

Jin Desamero wrote in a mix of English and Filipino: “I’m so proud that there are still Filipinos that are like him.”
