A taho vendor in Marikina City may have been peddling more than just the sweet drink, as police found out yesterday.

Police arrested 42-year-old Francisco Estrada during a buy-bust operation in the city’s Barangay (Village) Malanday last night, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. According to ABS-CBN News, the incident happened at around 9pm.

Authorities alleged that Estrada sold suspected shabu (meth) to undercover authorities for PHP500 (US$9.48). The Marikina City Police said that the transaction happened right in the suspect’s home, Radyo Inquirer reported.

Estrada claims that he is just a taho vendor but PO1 Joseph Ambrocio of the Marikina Police told ABS-CBN News that they allegedly recovered three sachets of suspected shabu (meth) from the suspect.

Estrada now faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Radyo Inquirer reported.
