Taguig residents get free maintenance medicine

Hmmm…is this a “response” of some sort to a certain city that’s famed for distributing cakes to its residents?

“The local government of Taguig has started a house-to-house distribution of maintenance medicines to its constituents suffering from diabetes, hypertension,  and asthma for the second quarter of the year,” reports Mike Frialde on Philstar.com.

The report revealed that “the maintenance medicines distribution program is a product of the findings made by the Taguig City Integrated Survey System (TCISS).”

Among the medicine distributed were for diabetes maintenance such as Metformin, Gliclazide, Glibenclamide and Glimeperide.

Also ditributed were hypertension medication containing Metoprolol (tartate), Losartan, Amlodipine (besilate), Nifedipine, and Clonidine (hydrochloride), as well as packs of Salbutamol tablets, syrup, nebules and inhalers for asthma patients.
