“On Wednesday, Feb 12, the remains of activist-comedian Arvin ‘Tado’ Jimenez were cremated,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Jimenez died on Feb 7, after the Florida Transport bus he was riding fell off the 500-meter deep ravine in Sitio Pagpag, Barangay Tabulin in Bontoc, Mountain Province. He was one of the 14 people who perished from the crash.
“Meanwhile, at least 28 buses of the G.V. Florida Transport Inc. failed the road worthiness inspection conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB),” adds ABS-CBNnews.com.
The LTO and LTFRB started started inspecting the units of Florida Transport on Tuesday morning, following the Bontoc bus crash. The report noted that “all 238 units of the bus company have to undergo road worthiness test after these were suspended for 30 days by the LTFRB.”
