Pag-IBIG stands for Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industria, at Gobyerno—but obviously the acronym is more memorable because it’s also the Filipino word for “love.” That’s what Pag-IBIG’s Tacloban office needs right now.
“Upon learning that the Pag-IBIG office at the Dynasty Square Building on Justice Romualdez St. in Tacloban City was totally-destroyed, nearby Pag-IBIG branches, those in Cebu and Iloilo, have deployed roving offices in Tacloban to make it easier for members to avail themselves of housing assistance as they try to recover from the devastation wrought by Typhoon Yolanda,” reports JC Bello Ruiz in the Manila Bulletin.
There’s no telling when the wrecked office will become operational, but a “mini Tacloban office” was also put up in the Pag-IBIG Cebu City office at the 5th floor of the Pag-IBIG Fund Tower, Mindanao Ave., Cebu Business Park. Members may call +032 4155453 for inquiries.
