Suspected killers of UA&P student fall to Pasig police

Pasig police have managed to arrest two suspects in the death of a University of Asia & the Pacific student whom they allegedly robbed.

Hataw Tabloid reports police have arrested Michael de los Santos and Rodolfo San Agustin, both in their only twenties, for robbing and killing 18-year-old student Ranil Raymundo.  The report quotes Superintendent Remus Medina of the Eastern Police District as saying the two were on drugs when they did the crime.

“Their initial plan was only to take Raymundo’s personal belongings but they stabbed him dead because he fought back,” he said in the report. Raymundo, who was found by the family’s help, had wounds on his arms suggesting he struggled against the suspects. He was found with multiple stab wounds.

The suspects, allegedly part of the “Tutok Kalawit” robbery gang, took the student’s laptop, camera, and mobile phones.

Police were able to trace the suspects through the security cameras of the subdivision where Raymundo lived. The two will undergo a drug test before being charged with Robbery with Homicide.
