Suspected drug pushers nabbed in QC

With two suspected drug pushers off the streets, you can say our streets are already cleaner.

Authorities busted two Chinese nationals who allegedly sold seven kilos of illegal drugs composed of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and ecstasy tablets worth P37 million in Quezon City, a Philippine Star report said.

Arturo Cacdac, the head of the country’s antinarcotics agency, identified the suspects as Qiao Wen Jiang, alias Boy Intsik, 37, and Xiao Xia Chai, 37, who were arrested past Tuesday midnight at a bar along Timog Avenue in Quezon City.

Undercover agents arranged a buy-bust operation where one of them pretended to be looking for drugs from the suspects. When both parties struck a deal, they agreed to meet and hand off the cash for the drugs.

Cacdac said the shabu was placed in a resealable bag and its volume was worth around PHP35 million, while the ecstasy tablets were placed in four plastic sachets and were worth PHP2 million.
