You know how security in a place is bad when even men in uniform can’t feel safe in their own homes.
“A man tagged [to] at least 10 robberies in Metro Manila was identified as among four men who robbed a Bureau of Fire Protection general, the second top official in the BFP, in Quezon City last Tuesday,” reports Reinir Padua of Philippine Star.
Chief Supt. Samuel Perez, the second-highest ranking official of the BFP, lost about P100,000 worth of valuables inside his home in Project 6.
While talking to two of his staff outside his house, four armed men sneaked into the gate and ransacked the house. Perez managed to identify the suspects through a rogues gallery compiled by the police.
One of the robbers was Jonathan Cuya, who has been implicated in a series of robberies since this year. He was arrested and locked up in June, but managed to post bail. Apparently, he’s back in action.
