Forbes, the magazine known for its list of the world’s richest people, is opening in the Philippines.
The local franchise for the monthly magazine, which strats pubilshing in early 2015, is owned by Summit Media.
Summit Media is headed by Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng, daughter of John Gokongwei, who is a constant presence in Forbes’ list of richest Asians.
“The Philippines is one of ASEAN’s most dynamic economies and Forbes Philippines will serve the country’s growing community of tycoons, CEOs, investors and aspiring entrepreneurs,” William Adamopoulos, CEO/Asia of Forbes Media LLC, was quoted on Summit Media’s website as saying.
Apart from access to Fobres stories from around the world, Forbes Philippines will also feature local content. Initial circulation of Forbes Philippines is at 10,000 per month, targeting high net worth individuals who run businesses, own them, or invest in them.
To date, Summit has 32 titles both in print and digital to its name. Forbes brings the number up one notch to 33. Congratulations Summit Media!
