This video was taken by documentary filmmaker Joanna Vasquez Arong during the height of Typhoon Glenda (international name: Rammasun) and is being published with her permission.
“This is a clip from some behind the scene shots I took of a team from Europe who have been following hurricanes and typhoons around the world for the last three years, filming in 3D for a feature-length film. It was taken close to where Typhoon Glenda made landfall—at Oriental Hotel in Legazpi, Albay, around 6:30pm.

“I took this while the team was filming in the middle of the storm when the team was bravely or crazily filming outside with howling winds and flying debris….the team found this storm one of the strongest storms they filmed in.
“It intensified very quickly—in fact they were tracking the storm from Sta Ana, then Daet, and then we decided to film in Legazpi in the end.
“The team just came from two storms prior—covering Hurricane Arthur in Cape Hatteras in North Carolina, Typhoon Neoguri in Japan and now Rammasun (Glenda) in the Philippines. They are about to film Tropical Storm Matmo either in Taiwan or northern Philippines.”
