State weather bureau PAGASA has lifted all tropical cyclone warning signals this morning as tropical storm “Salome” traversed the West Philippine Sea on its way out of the country.
In its 11am weather bulletin, PAGASA said the tropical storm is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Saturday morning.
The center of “Salome” was last spotted 175 kms west of Subic, Olongapo.
It continues to move in a west northwest direction and packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kp/h.
Moderate to heavy rainfall can be expected within the 200-kilometer diameter of the weather disturbance.
The weather bureau advised residents in Central Luzon, Ilocos region, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley to remain alert against possible flash floods and landslides.
PAGASA also said sea travel remains risky over the western seaboard of northern and Ccntral Luzon due to rough to very rough seas.
