Here’s another mystery for you.
“At around 2:30am on Sunday, Mar 9, a dark gray Mitsubishi Strada pick-up with plate number RLY 330 was found abandoned by the side of C-5 Road, just outside The Heritage Park in Barangay Pingsama, Taguig City,” reprots Niña P. Calleja in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
According to the report, the vehicle was empty. However, police found bullet casings on the floor of the vehicle and 10 bullet holes on its right and rear sides.
The pick-up turned out to be the property of TSgt. Pablito Igne of the Philippine Air Force inside. Igne’s wife, Hellen, had reported the pickup as stolen last month. She had told the police that on Feb 3, when she was driving it somehwere in Quezon City, armed men stopped her, demanded the keys to the pick-up, and then and sped away in it. She later filed report about the incident at the Quezon City Police District.
Police are now trying to determine who stole the vehicle in the first place and how it ended up in Taguig. There were witnesses who claimed to have seen some men in motorcycles at the spot where the vehicle was abandoned.
