Temperatures in Metro Manila today hit 36.1 degress Celsius, making it the hottest day of the year so far.
Weather forecaster Buddy Javier from PAGASA said that high temperature was recorded at 3pm at PAGASA’s Science Garden in Diliman, Quezon City. The previous high was 35.4 degrees on April 5.
Frighteningly, Manila might be in for even higher temperatures in the near future due to a prevailing ridge of high-pressure area and an absence of clouds.
Javier said that clear skies and hot temperatures would prevail for at least the next three days, PhilStar reported.
