The pig, which is part of a litte of 14 piglets, may have suffered from genetic abnormality as it was developing inside its mother’s womb, according to veterinarians. The pig is now two months old.
It is also possible that the pig’s mother suffered an illness while pregnant, and the medicine injected on her affected the piglet’s development.
The Provincial Veterinarian of Iloilo advised its owner to just sell the hermaphrodite piglet since it may not be suitable for breeding.
