Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is planning a fifth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, but there are also rumors that Pacquiao wants to be part of another fight before that – in April.
The two possible opponents are Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios and Mexican Humberto Soto.
One issue according to Manila Standard is that the Nevada State Athletic Commission “had imposed a 90-day period on Pacquiao from the date of his Dec. 8 knockout loss at the hands of Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez before he could resume sparring, which would end in the first week of March.”
This won’t give Pacman enough time to train for an April match.
