Manila might host more NBA games if an exhibition match between the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers turns out well.
SM Prime Holdings Inc. president Hans Sy, in a Sun Star Online report, said he met with NBA commissioner David Stern last year to hold an NBA All Star Game in Manila. “We’re still figuring it out but in case there is a chance, I will bring it over,” Sy said.
The pre-season game, announced this week, will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on October 10. Details on ticket prices for the first NBA pre-season game in Manila have yet to be announced but Sy said SM “took sponsors to cover the cost.”
