Hatton to Pacquiao: Learn from me, retire now

Retired British boxer Ricky Hatton thinks that Manny Pacquiao should already retire, after that memorable knockout defeat to Juan Manuel Marquez, according to ABS-CBN News.

“When you see someone get knocked out like that, you don’t want to see that again, do you?” the boxer nicknamed “The Hitman” told FightHub TV.

It can be remembered that Pacquiao defeated Hatton in 2009, through a second round-knockout. After three years, he came back but was defeated by his opponent, Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko, in the 9th round.

Hatton said that it would be really painful for Manny’s fans and family if they see him fall again.

“Eight [division] world champion? You don’t really need to [fight again]… I’d like to see Manny retire and go down as a legend,” he said.
