Seems like Mr. Sharpe was a bit dull when he decided to call it a day after he chose to sleep, not on his bed, not in his flat – but in a public parking lot.
The Globalport reinforcement was caught sleeping in a parking area near the row of bars and pubs in the Home Depot area in Julia Vargas at Pasig early Monday morning. Bystanders quickly took snaps of the import sound asleep while laying on the pavement. These photos circulated fast on the internet and immediately reached the officials and management of Globalport.
Sharpe’s action quickly drew ire from the coaching staffs who are now awaiting a good explanation from their import on how he ended up in this embarrassing situation.
Witnesses say that Sharpe had a drink too many and the reason that triggered him to indulge in liquid courage may be his dismal performance on the court where his team put up with their sixth straight loss, Sharpe just netting two points (that can be easily pointed out as his worst game ever in the PBA hard court).
There are also claims that the NBA veteran is suffering from narcolepsy, a neurological disorder that sometimes causes recurring sleep attacks.
As for what happened, we’re wishing that the coaching staff of Global Port can cut him some slack even just for this time. Every one of us goes through a bad day and sometimes drinking it out (moderately, of course) often helps. Just make sure you end up in your own bed.
