After being arrested and detained since Wednesday, American basketball player Jamelle Cornley will be allowed to post bail today, April 1, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officials revealed.
In a Philippine Star report, (QCPD) director Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said until he is able to do so, he will remain in detention at Camp Karingal.
The former Rain or Shine team player has been slapped with charges of alarm and scandal; direct assault; and resisting arrest and disobedience to a person in authority.
He was arrested on Wednesday morning after punching Police Officer 2 Anselmo Lazatin. Cornley was then making a scene at a hotel along Timog Avenue and hotel officials called the QCPD for assistance.
