It looks like running is getting more and more popular in the Philippines. Proof of this is the recent opening of the Brooks running concept store in SM North Edsa. It’s actually the first in Southeast Asia, and promises to be a one-stop shop for anything and everything related to running.
The store offers a wide selection or Brooks running shoes, apparel and head-to-toe accessories every runner needs. One can also find The Running Lab inside the store, which is a system that determines one’s foot type and stride to help the customer get the perfect pair of shoes.
At the official store opening last Oct. 17, Brooks ambassador Jennylyn Mercado graced the event (bring down that raised eyebrow—the actress is actually a triathlete so she’s quite the perfect endorser). She shared that running has helped her lose weight, especially after giving birth. The Kapuso star also explained that running is her sport of choice because it’s the most basic one that she can do anywhere, like the gym or even just inside her village.
