Looks like there’s a new Manny Pacquiao.

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. had a very successful 2012, considering all his wins, prompting several organizations to commend the Pinoy boxer.

For example, the visitors of RingTV.com (55.2%) unanimously agreed that Donaire did great in 2012, earning him the RING Magazine’s 2012 Fighter of the Year award in their year-end polls.

Donaire has had victories over Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., Jeffrey Mathebula, Toshiaki Nishioka and Jorge Arce, according to ABS-CBN.

Donaire also got the 2012 Fighter of the Year award from Sports Illustrated, thanks to his outstanding performances and even his advocacy for a drug-free sport. Donaire is famous for “his willingness to undergo year-round random drug testing.”
