Car owners, be careful.
“According to the data from the National Capital Region Police Office, there were 1,006 car theft incidents in the Southern Police District (SPD) from January to November 2013, the highest among the police districts in Metro Manila,” reports Marielle Medina of Inquirer Research in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The SPD covers six cities and one municipality, namely: Pasay, Makati, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Taguig and municipality of Pateros
The report added: “During the same period, there were 894 reported cases of car theft in the Quezon City Police District, 528 in the Eastern Police District, 350 in the Northern Police District and 303 in the Manila Police District.”
