Alexander Luna, 30, a member of the so-called Batang City Jail Gang, was beaten up by angry bystanders after he grabbed a female student’s cellphone in Ermita, Manila, over the weekend.
The 18-year-old student of the Universidad de Manila had gone after Luna and screamed for help as she ran. Concerned bystanders joined in the chase, until the suspect was cornered on P. Burgos Street in front of the Park & Ride,” reports Itchie G. Cabayan on Journal Online.
Police later arrived on the scene and Luna was turned over to them.
