SM Mall of Asia jewelry store robbed, 1 suspect caught

Again, we ask: Why are these criminals so brazen?

“At around 7:14pm on Sunday, Mar 30, people rushed out as gunshots were heard inside the SM Mall of Asia (MOA),” reports ANC.

It was later revealed that men with guns and metal pipes had robbed a jewelry store inside the mall. They had fired shots to create a commotion so they would be able to smash the glass display cases.

Southern Police District Director Erwin Villacorte disclosed that an employee of Spike’s, an outdoor kiosk at MOA, had gotten hit by a stray bullet. Fortunately, he was quickly rushed to a hospital and declared out of danger.

Villacorte also reported that one of the suspects has been arrested.
