With loosening pandemic restrictions, traffic is expected to build up along the streets of Metro Manila once again. In order to lighten the load on the city’s roads, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) wants to get more people to ride the Pasig River Ferry — for free.
Looks like the MMDA is extending its free ferry rides from its terminals after first offering the service during the previous holiday season.
“Are you looking for a different way to get around this 2022? Level up your trips this year and try the Pasig River Ferry Service,” the MMDA Pasig River Ferry Service wrote on Facebook.
ICYDK, the Pasig River ferry has 12 stations that pass through the cities of Pasig, Mandaluyong, and Manila, with upstream and downstream routes between Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City and Escolta in Manila.
