It is not a good day to be in a gang.
Three alleged members of the Bahala Na Gang have been arrested by Manila Police over a wallet that one of them has already admitted to stealing.
According to a DZMM report, Edgar Mendozam Romalyn Iligan, and a 17-year-old male identified only as “Macmac” were arrested after grabbing the wallet of a man paying a vendor for cigarettes. Macmac has already confessed to stealing the wallet and has apologized to the owner. His two supposed partners have denied their involvement, however.
Meanwhile, in Pasay, three members of the “Cartimar Boys” were arrested for robbing people not for bread to feed a sister’s children but for a birthday party. According to another DZMM report, the group has been active in the Cartimar area, known for its depressing wildlife trade. “They rob call center agents and then they ride a jeep. They operate in the Cartimar area, so we call the group the Cartimar Boys. One of them just got out of jail and held someone up again,” Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Llorca, chief of the Pasay City police said in Filipino in the report.
Police are asking victims of either group to report the incidents to the police so additional charges can be filed against the gang members.
