Siargao surfers to represent PH in prestigious Mentawai Pro

We’re stoked to share the good news!

Two surfers from the Siargao Island, Piso Alcala and John Mark Tokong are set to compete against world class athletes in the Mentawai Pro, one of the most prestigious surf contest in the world. The competition is organized by the World Surf League and the Asian Surfing Championships

Piso Alcala already competed in Bali last year, and he’s happy to be back representing the country again.

John Mark Tokong, also known in the surf world as Marama, is making waves in the international surfing scene with his skills and talent.

In an interview with My Life on Board, Marama shared his excitement. “Ever since I started surfing, I’ve always watched Surf League Contests online and imagined myself to take part in those competitions,” he said.

The competition will run from Apr 20 to 24. We’re cheering for these two young men!
