Well, maybe she should be.
“On Friday, Feb 28, Malacañang said the Department of Justice (DoJ) is currently making a thorough study on the proposal to move alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles to a regular jail,” reports Madel Sabater-Namit on Manila Bulletin Online.
However, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said the government still considers Napoles a “high-risk detainee” because of her alleged participation in the pork barrel scam.
Then again, the report noted that “some groups Some groups have been asking for the removal of Napoles from Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna because of the high cost to ensure her security.”
The government reportedly spends PHP150,000 a month for securing Napoles. The government also shells out an additional amount of at least PHP120,000 each time Napoles is transported from Laguna to Manila and back again. In the past, some reports even said that as much as PHP150,000 was spent for transporting her.
