An image of a woman with Down Syndrome starting her job at pizza chain Shakey’s went viral online, and it has warmed people’s hearts.

Facebook user Nicholas Ellis posted a photo of his sister, Luiza, in uniform and ready to start her first day at the Shakey’s branch in Lagro, Quezon City.

“Hello friends! It’s my sexiest sister’s first day at Shakey’s Philippines,” his wholesome post read.

“She is on duty every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10am to 1pm, Shakey’s Lagro branch. Please visit her and she will give you lots of free tissue!”

He tagged Shakey’s Philippines and the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) and thanked them for making the opportunity available to his sister.

Luiza’s stint is part of DSAPI’s Love ‘Em Down program, a partnership with the pizza chain that hires adults with Down Syndrome to work in its stores, giving them opportunities for meaningful interaction and skill-building.

The post has been shared over 16,000 times, with people vowing to visit the branch.
