Seniors get their own spot in Rizal Park

Senior citizens need this green perk.

“A part of Rizal Park in Manila has been set aside for the exclusive use of the elderly and it’s called the Senior Citizens Garden,” reports Maricar B. Brizuela in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The garden, which is tagged as a “new park attraction,” also boasts of outdoor fitness equipment, mostly for cardio exercises.

The report also quoted National Parks and Development Committee (NPDC) spokesperson Kenneth Montegrande, who said that the garden “was also an area where senior citizens would be able to simply relax and savor the fresh breeze amidst tall trees and flowering plants.”

The seniors’ spot is open 24/7.
