Senatorial bet asks DILG for increased security

Could she be concerned about her own security?

Senatorial candidate and daughter of the Vice President, Nancy Binay, has asked Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel Roxas III to increase police visibility and overall security in the last few days before the May 13 polls.

According to a Journal report, Binay has asked for more police and security measures especially in the local areas where heated political rivalries have been brewing. She cited incidences of violence in Taguig City and Manila as just a couple of examples.

She urged Secretary Roxas to meet with provincial directors and chiefs of police in order to ensure security during the elections.
