Senator Nancy Binay laughs off nasty comments about her SONA outfit

She’s used to it by now.

“Netizens had a lot to say about what Senator Nancy Binay wore during the opening of the Senate’s second regular session, which was, of course, also the day of President Noynoy Aquino’s fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA),” reports Hannah L. Torregoza in Tempo.

For the most part, the yellow-blue-green bubble skirt Binay wore got a lot of flak. Binay had said that the gown was “a joint effort” between her and designer Randy Ortiz.

In a phone interview with Tempo, Binay stated that she “wasn’t offended with the bashing she received in online.”

She was quoted as saying, “What’s new? My life won’t be fun without the bashing. OK lang ‘yun, at least nabuhay na naman ‘yung mga loyal bashers ko (It’s OK, at least my loyal bashers had something to do).”
