Embattled Senator Nancy Binay has enrolled in a short course on legislation at the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance. The executive course is offered for five days and the newly-elected senator began her schooling on Monday.
According to the Manila Bulletin, the course includes the roles and accountabilities of a legislator, the Philippine administrative system, the national legislative process and the national budget. Binay says she took the course because based on the advise of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago as well as to prepare herself for her post. She stressed that she feels additional pressure to perform well because of her last name.
