Sen. Koko Pimentel says Napoles isn’t his friend

We expected more denials to come…and here’s one more.

“Sen. Koko Pimentel denied rumors that he is included in the list of lawmakers who allegedly benefited from the pork barrel scam of Janet Lim Napoles,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

In a statement from his office, he announced, “Any list which includes my name as a ‘Napoles collaborator’ is a bogus list meant to muddle the present controversy.”

Pimentel, however, admitted that Napoles had attempted to befriend him in the past. But, as he explained, “I acted civilly towards her but [I] said, ‘No’ when priority development assistance funds (PDAF) matters were raised.”

Here’s a question: If he knew a person like Napoles was ‘sniffing around” for pork funds, then why didn’t he say anything back then? (Why didn’t any of them say anything?)
