Sen. JV Ejercito slams PNoy’s SONA for being ‘sugarcoated’

As promised, he gave his speech on Monday, August 11.

In a speech titled, “Ang Tunay na Kalagayan ng Lipunan,” Senator JV Ejercito criticized President Noynoy Aquino for citing “unrealistic” numbers in his July 28 State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Ejercito noted that “some issues remained unclear and data and figures mentioned during Aquino’s SONA did not reflect the current situation of the country and of the Filipinos.”

“So many people are jobless. So many people are poor and have nothing to look forward to,” Ejercito said in Filipino.

Ejercito also went on to enumerate “more issues that the country is currently facing such as unemployment rate, poverty, rice importation, smuggling, oil price hikes, and crime.”
