Perhaps, he thinks he needs divine intervention to get him out of the pork barrel scam mess.
“Sen. Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. his wife, Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado, and three other family members are set to visit Jerusalem and other parts of Israel next month despite a call by Department of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to restrict his travel due to the pork barrel scam probe,” ABS-CBN News correspondent Mario Dumaual on ABS-CBNnews.com.
“Wish ko ito, ang makapunta sa Holy Land… Sana matuloy, walang humarang (This is my wish, to go to the Holy Land… I hope it pushes through and nobody keeps me from going there),” said Revilla.
The report pointed out that “Revilla, along with fellow Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile, are accused of pocketing millions of pesos in kickbacks after funneling their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to foundations set up by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.”
According to the report, Revilla gave assurances that he will return to the country to face the charges.
