Even international pop star Selena Gomez was enthralled by Filipina-American actress and model Liza Soberano.
Liza got the chance to meet Serena backstage during her one-night-only concert at the MOA Arena on Sun, Jul 31.
Liza told ABS-CBN that the singer told her “You’re beautiful, babe,” and she could barely contain her excitement.
She even shared a photo of her with Selena on Instagram.
The post received varying reactions from fans. Some gushed about how lucky she was, while others called her a “fake fan” of Gomez.
The Dolce Amore star defended herself and said that she’s been there during Selena’s starting days at the US teen sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place and claimed to having all her albums.
“You can even ask my fans,” she added.
Selena performed a nearly 20-song set that included some of hits like “Love You Like a Love Song,” “Hands to Myself,” “Who Says,” and “Same Old Love.”
She promised her Filipino Selenators that she would be back soon.
