Poor chap.
A 42-year-old security guard named Noe Drio — who is affiliated with Lockheed Global Security and Investigation Services Inc — was wounded after the service firearm tucked in his waist suddenly went off at around 5:20pm last Fri, Nov 27.
He was on duty at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Unfortunately, Drio’s genitals, as well as his left thigh and knee, took the bullet.
“Drio had decided to transfer his 9mm pistrol service firearm in front of his waist. However, he accidentally squeezed the trigger and the gun went off,” reports Francis Wakefield in Tempo.
The report noted: “The Barangay Commonwealth Rescue Team took Drio to the Far Eastern University first and later to the East Avenue Medical Center.”
The Quezon City Police District Station 6 is still conducting an investigation on the incident.
